International Visitor Exchange Program Manager

About the Position:

WACNH works with the US Department of State to implement the premier Federal international exchange program, the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). This exchange brings up and coming leaders from around the world to provide them the opportunity to meet with counterparts and discuss issues within their field.  The International Visitor Exchange Program Manager will work on all aspects of this program, under the supervision of the Executive Director.  A typical year includes forty-five to fifty groups for two to three day visits in state. 

Job Responsibilities:

  •        Coordination with National Agencies to prepare, implement, and close out exchange programs
  •         Interaction with International Visitors, local meeting hosts, and others to ensure high quality programs
  •         Grant Management for IVLP
  •         Assist with special projects as assigned

Skills:

  •        Comfort in dealing/ communicating with high level international visitors and locals
  •        A desire to create top quality programs
  •       Problem solver who thrives under pressure
  •         Ability to do a lot with a little (both in terms of time and treasure)

A Few Requirements

  •        Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
  •        Literate in Microsoft Office, Internet Research, Social Media, and general computer programs
  •        Positive, can-do attitude

Salary: $35,000 -$40,000

Hours: 40 hours/week
